location and a nearly perfect climate. We are a small county of about
30,000 population, covering 2,400 sq miles.
We are located on
U.S. Highway 25E and State Route 33, only 40 miles to access of
Interstate I-81 and 45 miles to access of I-40 and I-75.
Claiborne
County is bordered by both the state of Kentucky and the state of
Virginia. Tazewell is the county seat and located about 40 miles
northeast of Knoxville, the third largest city in Tennessee. It offers
all the big city frills from elegant shopping sprees to the fancy neon
lights, night clubs, baseball games and football games.
Our county is made up of
beautiful sloping fields, large forested tracts, many clear streams that criss-cross the
county and, best of all, our friendly people.
Claiborne County is for
the fun-loving people that enjoy the peace and tranquility of
unspoiled nature. Here you can escape the pressures and problems of
big city life and still be only minutes away from some of the largest
cities in the Eastern United States.
